CAD Engineer

Location: Coventry

Salary: £35k - £40k Plus excellent benefits

A local engineering company who design, manufacture and install Paint Jig’s for the automotive industry are now looking for a CAD Engineer to join their team.

CAD Engineer - The Role

The role will suit candidates with 2D and 3D design skills. In this role you will produce assembly, manufacturing and fabrication drawings for wire work and paint jigs. You will work with a team who take a proactive lead in managing the preparation of drawings, parts lists and other documents.

You will benefit from experience of designing Painting Fixtures and Wire Work using Auto desk inventor and Auto CAD.

The ideal candidate will come from a metal engineering design background but candidates from other manufacturing background will be considered. You will be working with highly renowned blue chip automotive manufacturing companies.

Producing detailed working CAD models and drawings to a standard within a given programmed time and the scheduling of materials ensuring that the bill of materials is correct.

Attending design meeting and carrying out site surveys as required.

CAD Engineer - The Person

The ideal candidate must come from the automotive industry as a CAD Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Auto desk inventor or AutoCAD 2D/3D
• Paint jig and wire work design experience – Ideally
• Experience in producing manufacture detailed CAD models for jigs/fixtures and producing drawings.
• Ideally hold an engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
