Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Salary: £28k - £35k

A large, multinational company are now looking for a recent graduation as a Production Chemistry Technician.

Chemistry Technician - Job Purpose:
Our client is keen to recruit the next generation of graduates to assure the company's long-term business success; seeking a recently qualified chemist to oversee the hazardous activities. This also facilitates succession planning.

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the safe handling of chemicals at our site in Littlehampton and overseeing some production activities and the emergency spill response team. This will require the application of previously gained chemical experience and knowledge to a working factory environment. Given the site's focus on H+S, this role will form a key part of our transition to, and maintenance of ISO 45001. A secondary function of the role is to assist with the development of new products within the business unit.

The Condition Monitoring products include high technology sensors used for In-Process Measurement in petro-chemical, land based and marine/offshore industry applications.

Chemistry Technician - Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from a Manufacturing background as a Chemistry Technician. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Hold a scientific degree, ideally in chemistry or chemical related subject
  • Experience, confidence and aptitude in working with Hazardous Chemicals
  • Come from a Manufacturing, Chemical, Process Engineering or Oil and Gas Industries
  • A working knowledge of GHS and COSHH regulations.
  • Can-do attitude and flexibility.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies.
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills.


This position would suit a recent Graduate who has a year or two's industry experience.
