Compliance Engineer

Location: Cannock

Salary: £30k-£36k

My client is a local and well established businesswithin transport compliance. They are looking for a compliance engineer to join their team, and the purpose of the position is to provide clients with a robust and thorough service ensuring the information they are given is current, relevant and within the current regulations and guidelines as set by the Governing Authority.

You may be expected to travel throughout the UK and spend 3-4 nights a week away.

Compliance Engineer - Job Role:

  • To ensure courses and services time delivery is adhered to
  • Complete and return reports within 12 hours of job completion
  • To Ensure paperwork is returned to the office in a timely manner in accordance to the requirements set for each awarding body or company procedure. Reports within 12 hours training paperwork within the week of completion at the latest.
  • To ensure your decisions made and advise given related to compliance, legal guidance or general guidance to clients is based upon fact and the current guidance provided by the governing bodies such and the traffic commissioner’s office and / or the DVSA
  • To ensure reports and paperwork are completed fully as required, submitted in good form, legible, spell checked and written in a manner that is clear to the recipient.
  • To ensure only the required paperwork is left with clients as identified in the communication log.
  • Ensure all your computers are updated regularly
  • To manage your MIFI usage ensuring that if is only used for online assessments unless authorised for other duties by the Managing Director
  • Maintaining good etiquette with a friendly, confident, professional and helpful attitude to clients, potential clients and staff
  • Report issues, problems and potential problems immediately, innovations or ideas to your line supervisor, manger, director.
  • To work to the safety information provided and ensure you, your colleague and candidates work in a safe manner at all times. Where safety is compromised this must be addressed immediately before work can continue
  • Report product deliver issues or updates where a product could be improved
  • Ensure assessments are completed within the framework set by the awarding body and in a manner that protects the centre from adverse feedback
  • You are to ensure you review your diary, emails and correspondence daily. Ensuring that replies are prompt
  • Complete daily close out forms and return to office

Compliance Engineer – Person Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Ideally come from a Mechanical background
  • Must have CPC or working towards one
  • Ertec inspector qualification is desirable
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the UK
