Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Birmingham with international travel
Salary: £40k - £50k plus excellent benefits

A large, well respected automotive company are now looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Main job role:
Coordinate activities in the plant and support the implementation & application of Lean Principles to production processes in order to detect and eliminate waste, increase operational performance and create an environment of continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
This company has locations across Europe, South Africa, Brazil and the UK. This role will involve travelling to their other sites for 1 week every month or so. You will implement the companies LEAN and Continuous Improvement plan, coach and train the site teams and monitor the progress. Most of the travel will be within Europe and South Africa with the occasional travel to Brazil.
This role will also involve an intensive training programme into the companies LEAN and Continuous Improvement way.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - job requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from the manufacturing industry as a Continuous Improvement Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Ideally hold a degree in an Engineering field
• SixSigma qualified minimum greenbelt, ideally blackbelt
• Willing to travel
• Experience implementing lean tools and techniques
• Strong at training and coaching in lean methodologies
