Continuous Improvement Manager
Location: Colchester
Salary: £30k - £50k plus excellent benefits

A local warehouse and distribution company are now looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team.

Continuous Improvement Manager - Job Role:
This is a brand-new position for the company. The aim of the position is to look at the company's current operations and see where they can improve and reduce waste and cost.

To lead a planned and structured approach to Continuous Improvement of all Warehouse teams' methods, processes and standards. Create a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture and foster ideas between the Inventory & Kitting Supervisor and Order Works Team Leader to improve the overall performance and standards of our Operation.

Continuous Improvement Manager - Job Role:
The ideal candidate will come from the logistics / Distribution industry as a Continuous Improvement Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally hold an Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
  • Certified SixSigma blackbelt or Greenbelt minimum
  • Understanding the needs of the business along with the flexibility to change according to requirements
  • Ideally from the manufacturing/engineering industry, your skills will ideally encompass 'hands-on' experience at shop floor level through to business system level.
  • Demonstrable experience of how to engage staff to drive improvements in a structured way.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent training essential.
  • PDSA cycles, Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • DMAIC, Gemba Walks, Hoshin Kanri
