Design Engineer

Location:

Salary: £28k - £36k plus excellent benefits

My client, a well-established and family feel business are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team.

My client is looking for an experienced design engineer as the company has experienced sustained growth and thus the design team needs to grow with it. The successful candidate will produce designs and ensure all the relevant paperwork is complete. You will design your own projects and work with the fabrication workshop to iron out any problems.

Design Engineer- POSITION ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To progress designs produced by the Design Engineer to a stage ready for fabrication drawings and ordering of all parts.

• To produce fabrication drawings for the designs
• To liaise with different departments in the company to ensure all the correct parts are ordered and the workshop have the correct fabrication drawings.
• To work closely with the workshop to help with any drawing queries and check the quality of the build.

Design Engineer - job requirements:

The ideal candidate must come from the agricultural/steel erection/ portal frame building industry as a Design Engineer/CAD Technician/Draughtsman.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum Required:
At least 2 years of experience
