Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Chester

Salary: £40,000+

I am looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join a team to produce detail drawings of components to be manufactured and produce designs with a large range of technical specifications in specific time schedules

What you will do, Design Engineer:

As a Design Engineer, you will need to interpret the customers requirements to get an understanding of the design specifications to produce the layout and requirements of the product. You will then need to find the cost constraints of the project to meet the customer needs in a specified time scale. You will need to use CAD software to produce technical plans and work with prototypes. As a Design Engineer, you will need to analyse data and produce detailed reports to be review by managers and clients. The Design Engineer will produce designs against customer requirements, support the delivery of projects, and liaise with clients and understand client needs. This process is full design to manufacture. You will manage and facilitate input into complex projects. You will also be involved in dealing with the correct financial data with Project Team/Manager.

What we require, Design Engineer:

I am looking for a candidate to be educated to a degree level, or the equivalent, in a relevant engineering or design discipline. I am looking for a candidate to come from a practical background with experience in a relevant environment. I am looking for a candidate who has experience in 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor. I would also like a candidate to be experienced with IT skills like Microsoft office.
