A world leading ground improvement specialist is now looking to recruit a Digital Engineer to join their team.

Job description, Digital Engineer:

We are looking for an engineer to fully understand and provide support to engineers and the site teams on in-house data loggers fitted on rigs & equipment. They will also need to resolve software and hardware issues through rigorous testing and component testing under time constraints. The Digital Engineer will assist and fit and replace sensors, components and wiring on equipment under guidance from the plant manager or mobile fitter. You will have to support engineers and other site teams on external data loggers and liaise with external suppliers to understand the best practices, travel nationwide to provide support, repair, and maintenance to software or hardware site equipment. Keep up to date with the latest hardware and software on the market to provide solutions to efficiency in the business.

We would like the Design Engineer to report with new ideas and technologies in management with justification into cost, and benefits. We would also like a Design Engineer to participate in the research and development of new software, hardware, equipment, and process in the business. To collate and manage mechanical drawings, guidance documents and best practice documents. To liaise with the CAD technician to prepare drawings as required.

The Design Engineers role will include project costs to deliver to budget and given timescales. Understand the best value technology to bring into the business, which is reliable, sustainable, and effective. Then confidently present new projects, progress, and feedback to a group of internal employees either in a physical presentation venue or over video conferencing.

What we require, Digital Engineer:

We require someone to join this position with a degree or HNC equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A good understanding of CAD software. Previous experience would be required in Ground Engineering Equipment and knowledge of the field. Individuals would be required to have a valid CSCS. You will be familiarised with several in-house software’s which are used in the design and development on projects and machinery.
