Expeditor

Location: Chard, Somerset

Salary: £25k

My client is a local manufacturer and are looking for an experienced Expeditor to join their team.

Expeditor – Job Role:

• Liaise with Goods In to ensure that all purchase orders were receipted in a timely manner, ensure receipting queries are avoided.
• Produce the allocated work carefully and in a timely fashion
• Manage and maintain the vendor open order book in Oracle
• Liaise with suppliers (national and International) to ensure promise dates are obtained and met
• Liaise with transport and Logistics to ensure collection and delivery from
• Notify Buyers / Production / Sales & Customer Service Team in a timely manner of potential delivery issues
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to solve issues that could delay critical shipments
• Liaise with relevant department to ensure invoice queries are avoided

• Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems
• Advanced competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project & Power Point
• Experience in Supply chain and Supplier performance management
• Excellent at influencing and persuading people to a desired outcome
• Computer literate
• Excellent data management skills
