Health and Safety Administrator – Overview

A large blue-chip company are looking for a H&S Admin person to join their team. You will have strong excel & admin skills, A keen interest in HSE and a thrust to learn more. In return the company are offering a good starting salary, career progression and gaining NEBOSH Qualifications.

Health and Safety Administrator – Responsibility

  • To ensure that all mandatory and designated SHE training is carried out across the Company as required and documented.
  • To ensure the full investigation and reporting ofall incidents, accidents and near misses to determine root cause, corrective action and are closed out.
  • To manage the data collection from our waste, water and energy streams and to work with colleagues and suppliers to enable the accurate reporting for our environmental reporting.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance of all MSDS sheets to enable safe working practices and COSHH compliance.
  • To ensure the accurate and efficient collection of data to enable SHE to meet reporting requirements internally and within the Group.
  • To maintain the site Contractor Register and ensure all documentation is in date.
  • To plan and deliver the SHE inductions for all new employees, visitors and contractors.
  • To support fire safety by organising fire drills and ensuring all actions arising are followed up.
  • Produce content for SHE noticeboards and ensure all are kept up to date.
  • Assist in projects which relate to SHE ‘Best Practice’ - be a SHE Champion.

Health and Safety Administrator - job requirements:

The ideal candidate must come from the manufacturing industry as a Health and Safety Administrator. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Have a strong administration background and well organised
  • Natural interest in SHE function.
  • Robust working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with at least intermediate skills in Excel (not just data entry but also data-manipulation)
