Health and Safety Manager

Location: Workshop

Salary: Circa £40k - £45k

A Medical Devices Manufacturing company are now looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

The company is accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. They company are now working towards achieving ISO 45001.

Health and Safety Manager – Job Role:

Up until recently the company was operating as an independent business. The site has now been acquired by a larger group with the aim of unifying all sites under the same HSE policies and procedures.

Health and Safety Manager – Job Role:

  • Review and update the companies HSE Policies and Procedures
  • Manage the DSEAR & COSHH Register
  • Undertake the HSE Training & Inductions on site
  • Ensure the correct PPE is being worn at all times
  • Undertake accident and investigations
  • Control of contractors on site
  • Liaise with the other sites to ensure a uniformed approach to safety

Health and Safety Manager– Person Requirements:

The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing Industry as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:

  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ, or NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety (or similar)
  • Member of IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
  • Ideally have experience with ISO 45001 (Internal auditor is desirable)
  • DSEAR experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Ideally come from an FMCG, Medical Devices or Plastic Manufacturing Environment
