Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: Circa £45k plus excellent benefits

A large automotive manufacturing company are now looking for an Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Main job function
To work with the WCM Manager in the Mould shop utilizing MOST or Time and Motion to understand and review timings and processes.

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Job Role:
Support performance through roadmaps and action plans for area of responsibility
Support continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant error, proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.
Lead Kaizen workshops and schedules to achieve targeted savings
Reduce energy consumption through initiatives and controls

Continuous Improvement Engineer - Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from the manufacturing industry as an Continuous Improvement Engineer . You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally hold an engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
  • Experience with MOST or Time and Motion
  • Experience with delivering Kaizen events and other lean tools and techniques such as 5S, 7Waste, CIP, VSM, VA/VE
  • Ideally sixsigma greenbelt or higher
  • Ideally have AutoCAD knowledge (Not essential)
