Due to continued growth my client is looking for a Lead Design Engineer. The role of Lead Design Engineer is within a growing company who have aspirations to be the leading provider of stainless steel products and services to the food, pharmaceutical and health industries.

The key responsibilities for the Lead Design Engineer include:-

• Design products and systems
• Ensure product and project specifications are fulfilled within the agreed cost and timescale
• Liaise with all company departments
• Support, coach and manage a design team
• Plan and organise team workload in line with key dates

Desired skills for the Lead Design Engineer:-

The ideal candidate must come from the engineering industry as a Lead Design Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• An engineering qualification, minimum HNC (or equivalent)
• Advanced SolidWorks experience
• Experience of designing material handling conveyors for the food industry
• Sheet metal and weldments fabrication knowledge
• Project engineering
• Good commercial knowledge
