Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Newark

Salary: £38-£40,000

4 on 4 off (Two days, Two nights)

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Key Accountabilities:

• Support the Engineering Supervisor with project work
• Work with and ensure safety of any contractors
• Support and deliver a continuous improvement strategy working closely with the Engineering Supervisors and Shift Supervisors
• Ensure the Engineering Supervisor is kept up to date with issues relating to production downtime due to engineering issues and subsequent action.
• Work closely with factory teams to maximise utilisation of site assets
• Ensure business maintains maximum effectiveness and benefit from existing site equipment
• Assist with the risk mitigation and planning for obsolete equipment (controls and assets)
• Proactively drive improvement and cost savings of energy and utilities whilst maintaining the ability to meet varying and increasing demands from production
• Work cross functionally to deliver a consistent and dynamic approach to continuous improvement
• Adhere to the PPM system, complete and on time
• Attend training courses linked to the Company and Personal objectives and continuous development
• Complete all paperwork correctly and on time
• Continuous Improvement
• Ensure you follow and update systems for spares and stores to minimise inventory levels and working capital
• With the Engineering Supervisor, ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the needs of the business

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Qualifications & Experience:

• NVQ 2 Electrical and/or Mechanical
• Drivers licence
• IOSH / NEBOSH
• 3 years' experience
• Poultry processing, environmental or processing chemical experience is desirable
