Management Accountant (Interim)

Location: Bradford

Salary: £38k-£40k (12-month FTC)

Management Accountant - Job Role:

• Fixed asset management including creation of asset numbers, tracking, allocation of costs and disposals
• Physical audits on plant and machinery in all areas of the manufacturing site
• Depreciation calculations for monthly accounts and annual plans
• Monthly group reporting on fixed assets
• Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts to a tight deadline, and subsequent reporting and variance analysis
• Assisting other departments with reporting where necessary
• Working with other departments to create bi-annual business plans
• Assisting in the financial sections (being the larger part) of annual J[1]SOX self-assessment (Japanese version of Sarbanes Oxley)
• Assisting in preparation of ad-hoc forecasts and estimates
• Monthly prepayments and accruals
• National statistics surveys
• Liaising with auditors during the annual audits for both statutory accounts and tax analysis
• Creation of weekly cash forecasts
• FX and treasury reporting to group
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ad-hoc duties as and when required

Management Accountant – Person Requirements:

• Commercially minded and hands-on, with focus on adding value to the business in all areas, not just finance
• Strong people-person, capable of communicating at all levels with a wide range of stakeholders Experience gained in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent spreadsheet skills
• Strong system skills
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
