Job: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £30-35,000

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer to join our CAD/CAM department to design, manufacture as well as support the continuing growth of the business.

What you will do, Mechanical Design Engineer:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the Design of customised marquees for specialist functions. You will be given the specifications from the customer meet team. From here, you will then work closely with the design team performing design calculations to effectively design the marquee to be manufactured. The company has a high demand of workload, and so, are expanding their team in order to keep up with the workload. The company work with precise structural calculations to create state of the art marquees. You will be involved in most of the life cycle of the products.

What we require, Mechanical Design Engineer:

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 2-3 years in Mechanical Design Engineering. We would also like a candidate to have a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a relevant subject. We require a candidate to be proficient in Autodesk Inventor. We would require experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D. You will be generating mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems from initial concept to finalised products. Experience in Structural FEA is beneficial, but not essential. We would require a candidate to have profound ability to carry out structural calculations.
