Operations Manager

Location: Corby

Salary: £40k-£50k

As ourOperations Manager, you’ll be working in a fast-paced, challenging and innovative environment.

You will report directly into our Assistant General Manager, who will be on-hand to provide you with ongoing encouragement and support with any challenges you may face. You will have in excess of 12 direct reports from our Team Managers across various departments, and you’ll be on-hand to provide leadership, motivation, ongoing training and development to meet the demands of the business.

Operations Manager - Job Role:

  • Undertaking daily management of the operation to be able to meet and exceed customers contracts accurately and KPI’s are being outlined and achieved
  • Managing people planning and overall production processes, equipment, and resources in line with overall company standards, expectations and values
  • Accurately controlling daily stock
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing standard operating procedures for all operational processes
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, a safe working environment and compliance always
  • Proactively helping, supporting, and training the team in terms of performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures
  • Understanding the customer's needs and facilitating change to ensure the customer's needs are met

Operations Manager – Person Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent people management skills, the ability to lead a team successfully and the capability to influence those around you
  • Previous experience of working with Cargo wise or similar Freight Forwarding management systems
  • Previous work within a logistics warehouse or environment setting would be ideal for this role
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to converse with key stakeholders in the business both internally and externally
  • Understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • The ability to show an understanding of analytics & useful insights that enable acquisition & retention
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft, in particular, Word, Excel and Outlook
