Job: PLC Engineer

Salary: £33k-36k (Overtime pay and Benefits Package additional)

Location: Shipley, West Yorkshire

We’re partnered up with a global industry leader of thermal systems, who are currently searching for an experienced PLC Engineer to join their team and assist with fault-finding and upgrading of control systems within the plant.

PLC Engineer – Job description:

As a PLC Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the control systems within a busy manufacturing plant, with 7:30AM-4PM shifts on Monday-Thursday and a 7:30AM to 12:30PM shift on a Friday. You will be assisting with fault-finding on a range of different PLC’s, as well as PPM and upgrades to prevent future breakdowns.

PLC Engineer - What does the role require of you?

• Recognised PLC biased qualification (electrical/electronics), together with at least 2 years' experience working with a range of different PLC’s.
• A PLC Engineer with general control systems and safety system (Piltz, light guards etc.) knowledge and PLC Fault finding experience - Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Siemens systems would be desirable.
• An ability to manage projects with an emphasis to improve machine supportability and reliability.
• A forward-thinking individual who is able to work autonomously utilising their own knowledge, with a co-operative attitude, being able to communicate with experienced technicians, looking at the machine database information, speaking to external experts and OEM’s to minimize downtime.
