Job: Pre-Construction Design Assistant
I am currently recruiting for a Pre-Construction Design Assistant to help with the design of fitted balconies to go on commercial buildings.
What you will do, Pre-Construction Design Assistant:
In this position a candidate will come in and support other departments to provide design and technical solutions for multifaceted design input. Create solutions for project needs using standard solutions and products, including bespoke solutions based on company products and industry knowledge. Work with pre-construction team to provide technical responses to design questions. Attend Design Team Meetings to assess project needs. Support manager to deliver first class design support solutions. You will provide design support for projects created within coach by external users where specific IFC and 2D drawings are requested using Revit models. Be part of planning innovation of latest ideas or solutions by adding your own input relating to design trends that may be apparent to you.
What we require, Pre-Construction Design Assistant:
A degree or equivalent professional qualification in Technical Design or similar would be an advantage Experience. We require two years, or more, in Computer Aided Design. (AutoCAD, Revit). Previous experience using SketchUp would be a benefit. Some technical knowledge of fabricated steel and aluminium products & processes will be an advantage. Some experience of the construction industry or project-based businesses would be preferred Skills. Great listener and clear communicator (written and spoken). Confidence in creating and submitting complete design solutions once familiar with the products and systems. Skilled with AutoCAD, Revit and other 3D design software. Proactive, solution oriented and able to think outside the box. Concise but detailed in capturing requirements. Excellent time and task management skills. The ability to work as part of a team but being able to successfully plan and complete tasks with minimal guidance and support when required. Being able to work remotely and work using various on-line meeting and collaborative IT platforms is required
