A leading manufacturer for precision machining is recruiting a Product Manager to join their team.

Product Manager – Overview

• Responsible for growing the company’s portfolio
• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap to deliver revenue and profitability targets
• The position will own the product roadmap and life cycle management, pricing strategy, margin management, market intelligence, specials and product promotion
• There will be heavy cross-functional teamwork with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and other global teams within the organization as well as our distributors and end users

Product Manager – Responsibility

• Work directly with key stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and customers, to accelerate market participation and grow the product portfolio
• Own the product roadmap strategy including development, end of life, and rationalization decisions to optimize business efficiency, revenue, and profit
• Build the business case for new products and lead development of new products together with engineering, ensuring customer requirements (standards, features, etc.), competitive landscape and costs are aligned
• Develop and execute pricing and product positioning strategy to maximize market participation and profitability
• Engage in business development activities with the sales channel and customers and identify opportunities for channel development
• Lead product promotion efforts to effectively communicate the value proposition and gain brand equity
• Identify and help integrate any potential acquisition targets or partnerships to grow the business and deliver synergy targets
• Ensure an acceptable level of product quality and address customer issues as appropriate
• Interact with customers and end users on a regular basis to gain feedback and analyze the competitive landscape
• Support the commercial organization on technical questions and complex opportunities requiring in-depth product knowledge

Product Manager- job requirements:

• HNC, HND or Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial product management, business development, sales, marketing or technical role preferred
• Strong technical acumen and experience driving a growth strategy
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize amid frequent distractions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be proactive, manage projects from start to finish, identify problems, find solutions and drive results
