Production Planning Manager

Location: Leicester

Salary: Circa £35k plus performance related bonuses

My client is a local manufacturer and are searching for an experienced Production Planning Manager used to working within fast moving environments.
The purpose of this role is to assist in production planning and to ensure the efficient, effective and economic operation of the department to meet the requirements of the daily/weekly plan.

Production Planning Manager - Job Role:

• Working with the Sales Director & Factory Manager, supported by the Operations Director, you will work in the most cost-effective way to meet the daily targets and objectives
• Support the daily management of the team to prioritize work and achieve goals - (Safety, Quality, PR, Cost, Service).
• Work within the team to ensure the smooth running of the production facilities to meet the daily plan requirements in line with agreed specifications and quality standards.
• Hold regular communications with other Team Leaders to ensure plan adherence and customer advice.
• Hosting production meetings on a daily basis and having inclusion in regular Management Meetings
• Monitor and take steps to continuously improve production output.
• Build and optimize the production planning with Scheduling department.

Production Planning Manager – Person Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, within a fast-moving manufacturing operation.
• Ability to lead and motivate the team in a positive manner.
• Ability to monitor production output and make changes accordingly.
• Ability to meet KPI's.
