Job: Project Engineer
I’m looking for a Project Engineer to schedule, plan, forecast, resource & manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy & quality from conception to completion. You will also be required to develop close working relationships with the Production Managers/Directors.
Job Description, Project Engineer:
You will have to take responsibility for identifying, developing, implementing & managing modifications to the current plant/manufacturing equipment and processes. You will have to do this by reviewing in a structured manner opportunities to improve production output, product quality & equipment reliability. You will lead the management of projects (capital or revenue) including time scales & budgets, planned versus actual. You will be involved with production & support services to identify new equipment requirements within the manufacturing processes. You will then prepare and submit tenders for new equipment, taking these through to installation and commissioning. The Project Engineer will co-ordinate & manage any contractors that are involved in the projects/tasks ensuring where applicable, that plant is designed, installed tested & commissioned in accordance with the conditions & those appropriate records are produced throughout. You will need to provide report information for the monthly Executive/Board meeting giving details on present project progress, new projects & issues. You will need to maintain awareness & ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, & Company rules & policies.
What we require, Project Engineer:
You will need to be eligible to work in the UK for this position. You will ideally need to have a degree in Engineering or relevant field. We will require 4+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer in an Engineering industry. As a Project Engineer you will need to be proficient in 2D & 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD & Inventor. Experience in Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software is needed to keep up to date with projects. You will need to have project management skills & a continuous improvement attitude. For this role you will need to have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects. A successful candidate will need to have the ability to adapt to previously unseen challenges & new technologies. We also require the minimum of a basic understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics.
