Quality & Environment Manager – Construction – Manchester - £DOE & Excellent Package
My client are one of the UK’s leading builder/developers based in Manchester city centre. They specialise in new build and fit outs of apartment blocks in the ever-developing Manchester city centre skyline. Projects range in value from £5,000,000 up to £190,000,000 and are predominantly based in Manchester.
Due to continued growth an expansion they require a Quality & Environment manager in order to assist department leads in developing process and procedures throughout the business, continually improve the QMS & EMS and deliver ISO9001 & 14001 route to compliance programme.
Key duties & responsibilities include:
- Assists departmental leads in the development of new and existing processes
- Manage NCR’s including root cause analysis
- Oversee a number of key business systems
- Responsible for delivering the ISO 9001 and 14001 route to compliance programme
- Responsible for continually improving the QMS and EMS
- Responsible for maintaining the environmental legal compliance register
- Lead on regular quality and environmental reviews
The Experience Required
- At least 3 years of quality management experience
- Experience of operating (and ideally implementing) ISO 9001:2015 management systems
- Highly competent at MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written skills
- Analytical & critical thinker
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Site audit experience
- Experience of operating (and ideally implementing) ISO 14001:2015 management systems 7
- At least 2 years of environmental management experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body (CQI, IEMA etc..)
- Internal auditor trained (ideally lead auditor)
- Construction industry experience (ideally large new build projects)
- SharePoint systems experience
