Location Information - Worcester
Salary Negotiable
A local manufacturer is now looking for a Quality Manager to join their team. The Quality Manager is responsible for the Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental aspects of the business.
Quality Manager - Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP special processes
  • Maintain and develop the Environmental Management System, undertaking internal audits in line with ISO 14001 to ensure that the system remains compliant with the standard
  • Maintenance of company Quality Manual and Procedures
  • Development and implementation of Health and Safety Policies and procedures, ensure they are adhered to, regularly reviewed, updated and communicated
  • Participate and facilitate in the local EHS committee meetings
  • Manage and implement new hire induction safety training, fire marshal training and other training as required
  • To encourage and support the reporting of all EHS incidents and near misses
  • Assess EHS implications of proposed new materials and substances, equipment, processes and current controls
  • Generation, maintenance and presentation of key KPIs to business seniors
  • Maintenance and monitoring of the business context and organisation
  • Liaising with third parties in the resolution of business issues


Quality Manager - Person Specification

  • NEBOSH general certificate preferred, IOSH as a minimum IEMA - ISO 14001, ISO 18001 or ISO45001 is desirable
  • Able to maintain and ensure a safe working environment for all employee's
  • Fire prevention and fire marshal qualified
  • Ideally experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Practical experience of carrying out risk assessments
  • Practical experience of investigating accidents and near misses to identify possible root causes
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Well organised able to prioritise work and manage projects
  • To work towards you're your personal, departmental and business objectives
  • To communicate effectively at all levels of the business structure
