Quality Manager

Location: West Bromwich

Salary: £50k-£55k

A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Manager for a large manufacturer based in West Bromwich. This is a dual role covering a small team in QC and QA management for the company. The role reports to the Managing Director

Quality Manager - Job Role:

• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the QC Analytical team.
• Maintain and improve the ISO9001, ISO22000 and GMP systems where appropriate
• Be the prime contact and guide for all site quality audits
• Provide technical guidance to our customers on our products and manage any specification queries

Quality Manager – Person Requirements:

• Chemistry degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of analytical chemistry GC/GCMS/HPLC in an industrial environment
• Good understanding of laboratory management systems i.e. COSHH, SDS databases, document control etc.
• Previous experience of GMP( but we are not a total GMP site)
• Previous management or supervisory experience required
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding of ISO requirements
• Ability to work as part of a small management team
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
