Position: Regional IT Manager

A leading global manufacturing company is looking for an experience Regional IT Manager to join its UK team.

Job description, Regional IT Manager:

My client is looking for a Regional IT Manager to come in and drive the existing standards across the Divisions within the region. You will work with the Global IT Director to create and execute a strategy for Exteriors group. We are looking for someone to build relationships with the key stakeholders to understand the strategic direction, operational needs, and opportunities of the business going forward. You will have to find ways to utilise IT to improve the business. Liaising with the Global IT Director you will need to assess the potential of emerging technologies and innovative ideas to help the Divisions. You will be the voice of the divisions and Exterior group in the UK reporting to the Global IT Director. You will remain a high level of visibility within in the GIT organisation, attending regional business meetings, and providing a central point of information for all related IT activities.

What you will do, Regional IT Manager:

As a Regional IT Manager, you will have to provide support with technology planning, advise on how to exploit existing technology and ensure alignment with the global Group strategy. You must maintain detailed knowledge of key IT services and manage/influence demand for IT services at the regional level. Play a proactive role in defining service level needs. You will also need to ensure legal compliance in the region with the software and prioritise cost saving activities in the region. You will have to report on the status, solve project issues that impact the program, and identify and manage cross-project dependencies. This includes the overseeing of the technology program or projects delivered by Global IT. You will also advocate a quick response to mange urgent issues for the resolution. Review and approve purchase orders and expenses including the UK Division’s capital expenditures.

What we require, Regional IT Manager:

We would require a college diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems. I am looking for a minimum of 10 years in Senior Leadership positions in the manufacturing industry. Demonstrate program management skills and understand the organisations core business process and operations, implementing technology to develop the business. We require an understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
