Senior Supply Planner
Location: Derby
Salary: £35k-£40k plus 6% Bonus target

A global leader in Animal Nutrition manufacturing a wide range of animal nutrition products with a turnover of c£100million are looking for a Senior Supply Planner to join their team.

Senior Supply Planner- Responsibilities would include:
Due to internal growth an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Supply Planner who will be Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Supply Planner is responsible for managing and controlling local inventory.
Working as part of a small team in this fast-paced environment, you will take ownership of a specific group of raw materials, packaging and resale items; ensuring that supply is kept in line with demand by working closely with internal colleagues, suppliers, hauliers, and customers. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to take the lead on projects and provide guidance and support to colleagues and others within the wider supply chain.

Senior Supply Planner – Person Requirements:
The employee should ideally have the following attributes in order to be proficient in their role:
• The ideal candidate will have proven experience gained by performing a similar material planning and inventory management role in a manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies, especially S&OP and related principles.
• A relevant Degree and/or other qualification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar accreditation would be of benefit, as would knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma techniques.
• In order to be considered for the position you must have excellent computer and communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative, and be able to manage your time effectively. A good understanding of S&OP is expected and prior experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools would be beneficial.
