Accountant

Location: Preston

Salary: Circa £40k

The role of the accountant will be to have ultimate responsibility for the finance function of the business - ensuring that timely, accurate management information is produced along with budgeting and forecasting, perform key reconciliation tasks, prepare year end processes and manage UK statutory reporting.

Accountant - Job Role:

• Have responsibility for VAT and all other UK duties and taxes.
• Create, develop, and monitor budgets of the Company.
• Manage and support investment fund requests.
• Create and develop financial and tax strategies in line with UK legislation.
• Produce accurate monthly financial reports and analysis for the management.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the credit control system required for the Company.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile, reporting any risk issues monitor and support appropriate control systems with the Management Team.
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time in line with supporting the smooth operation of the business.
• (Excel) manipulation skills and aptitude for this program.

Accountant – Person Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
• ACCA or ACA qualification affiliate or member
• At least 3 years’ experience in this role
