Assistant Buyer

Location: Truro

Salary: £23k-£26k

A well-established manufacturer are looking for an assistant buyer to join their team. They will be responsible for procurement of all production materials and support of all operations.

Assistant Buyer – Job Role:

• Working closely with the merchandising team
• Reviewing competitor activity
• Purchase order management
• Liaising with suppliers
• Monthly retail sales to suppliers
• Analysis of reports
• Overseeing Junior members of the buying team
• Any other duties as reasonably required

Assistant Buyer – Person Requirements:

• Minimum qualifications of GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English & Maths
• CIPS level 3 or willing to undergo training
• Self-Driven and Organised
• Good communication
• Experience of buying in a technical/manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of parts and components
• Attention to detail
• Able to work as a team player
