Business Development Manager (BDM) - Construction

A high-quality specialist civils contractor is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) for their growing team.

This clients' reputation in the market is exemplary, and they mainly work in the flood defence arena of construction on Residential projects and large scale civils projects on a nationwide basis.

My client work with some of the leading brands in construction on some of the best-known projects throughout the UK.

As the Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be tasked with helping the company achieve its sales and profitability targets by growing new revenue opportunities whilst maximizing the existing client base.

You will take a sale through the complete process, from development to tender to present to the Directors before securing the business. You will work closely with local government authorities and councils and large main contractors.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in Business Development
  • Construction industry knowledge
  • Existing construction industry contacts/network
  • Happy to work on a nationwide basis
  • Full driving license
  • Commercially astute
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Proven ability to bring on clients
  • Ability to create and develop long term client relationships
