DET Subject Matter Expert
Location: Warrington (Remote)
Salary: Circa £30k
This is a project-based role providing subject matter expertise around all aspects of the Operations function and is integral to helping the Project Team deliver a new solution for primarily Delivery Enquiry Transformation Project.
DET Subject Matter Expert – Job Role:
- Take ownership of engaging the wider stakeholder gourps to ensure there is a clear understanding of “what” change is being proposed and “why”.
- Understand impacted processes and systems to identify areas for potential process improvement.
- Build business relationships with stakeholders to share business and industry knowledge.
- Work with the project team to facilitate business or technical decisions, remove ‘blockers’ and mitigate potential risks.
- ‘Outside-In’ thinking to consider the impact on external customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills - capable of presenting concepts to senior management and third parties
- Ability to gain commitment to deliver from project team members that are seconded to project teams from the wider organisation.
- Develop a network of contacts within Certas to ensure adoption of industry best practices
DET Subject Matter Expert – Person Requirements:
- Significant experience in Sales/Routing and a good working knowledge of Logistics, Fleet-based Delivery and Order Processing (not necessarily just what and how Certas does it).
- Works well in a team particularly where it is a network of people collaborating on a solution rather than perceiving it as a hierarchy.
- Uses initiative, prepared from the start; ready, willing, and eager to get the show on the road.
- Have positive influence with peers and should be able to inspire and persuade colleagues who could be helpful to the project.
- Motivational by nature and can inspire and encourage one another as well as themselves.
- Reliable, responsible, and accountable to others and themselves. Can create plans that incorporate timeliness with accuracy and detail, leaving some room for unexpected snags, and can stick to the plan.
- Can express themselves in a way that gets their point across but know how to listen effectively when others are expressing thoughts, opinions and ideas.
- Able to communicate well with other team members, colleagues and management. This reduces the chances of misunderstandings and misinformation.
- Able to think creatively and imaginatively.
- Be supportive of the solution, project and the company.
Other Desirables
- Experience of working in a project environment, project lifecycle and delivery of both business change and technical environments.
- Understands project plans and articulate roles, project goals, skills, training and experience timelines.
