Electrical Engineer Job Purpose:

To ensure Plant machinery is in good working order and a safe condition to operate, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

Main Duties Electrical Engineer


Implement and support rapid breakdown fault finding and rectification of electrical and mechanical plant.

Ensure line equipment is in a safe condition to operate, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

Facilitate implementation and completing planned maintenance programmes, liaising with all departments to ensure minimal disruption to production in respect of maintenance.

Accurate completion of maintenance related data entry for reporting processes.

Implement countermeasures to improve machinery performance, thus engaging in a 'Right First Time' culture that delivers best quality and efficiency consistently.

Active participation in improvement projects when required.

Promote a workforce culture that supports personal responsibility.

Adherence toGroup Policies and Procedures and protocols.

All other tasks commensurate with the grade and skills, as may be directed by the Engineering Manager, orSite Manager, for which suitable training will be provided.

Qualifications

NVQ or C&G Electrical

Mechanical Engineering knowledge of start-up, shut down and break down procedures within the department

Experience of working in a high-speed production environment
Minimum of 3 years post apprentice experience in a maintenance electrician's position
Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance practices.
Fault finding experience, including diagnostics and root cause analysis
Practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
Experienced with PLC programming Mitsubishi, Siemens and Allen Bradley
Ability to fault find and problem solve technical issues using RCA and DMAIS techniques.
Able to design and build control circuitry creating supporting engineering documentation
