Job: Flying Probe Technician

Location: Luton

Salary: £30-36,000

I’m currently recruiting for a Flying Probe Technician to join our team and be responsible for the day-to-day programming and running of the flying probe.

What you will do, Flying Probe Technician:

You will be responsible for the running, programming, maintenance, and debugging of the probe. You will need to develop the manufacturing test packages, and provide solutions, with the focus being on the test flying probes circuit card assembly. You will need to create test programs for the flying probe to establish defects on the circuit card. You must publish the test documents using the inhouse Manufacturing Execution System. Another responsibility will be undertaking test coverage analysis of circuit card design and make Design-for-Testability recommendations. You will have to provide technical support on flying probe and in-circuit testing to production test engineers and manufacturing.

What we require, Flying Probe Technician:

We require a minimum HNC/HND or equivalent level of qualification in Electronics. You must have a lot of experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics manufacture and testing. Experience of flying probe test package development, with preference in TAKAYA APT-1400F Flying Probe Test Systems. You must have a good understanding of measurement and test principles, and equipment with particular emphasis on in-circuit testing.
