Health and Safety Manager
Contract for 3 months +
Location: Nottingham
Day Rate: £250 per day up to £400 per day

A local precision machining company now require an experienced Health and Safety Manager on a short-term contract.

Health and Safety Manager - Job Role:
The company has just had an HSE Inspection and a few issues have been raised. The company need an experienced Health and Safety Manager to work with the company and getting them to the standard that they should be at.

Some of the issues that have been highlighted are:

• Not wearing the correct PPE
• Noise complaints
• Lack of machine guarding

Health and Safety Manager - Job role:
Review and update the companies HSE policies and procedures
Promote a positive Health and Safety culture
Provide Health and Safety training for all staff such as manual handling etc
Educate staff on the importance of wearing the correct PPE and ensure it is always being worn
Ensure the correct Machine guards and cutoff switches are in place and fully working

Health and Safety Manager - Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate MUST come from an engineering background as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualification and experience:

• Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
• Member of IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
• Ideally hold an environmental qualification such as IEMA or NEBOSH
• Ideally come from a Precision Machining background
• Ideally have a formal training qualification such as PTTLS
