The Lead Design Engineer will be responsiblefor developing manufacturing designs and the drawings and supporting documentation for bespoke systems. The succesful Lead Design Engineer will have the capability to manage others well and work well as part of a team. The position of Lead Design Engineerrequires an intuitive, creative, logically minded and solutions focussed person, who is willing and able to come up with detailed solutions, is passionate about cars and is looking to progress their career by becoming a senior figure in a rapidly growing and ambitious team.

Ideally the Lead Designer Engineer will:-

-Provide accurate, fully detailed designs for all phases of the design process across a number of different product lines;

-CAM the designs using SolidCAM to the CNC machines (milling and turning);

-Take leadership of assigned projects and direct and lead the team

-Ability to think through, plan and draw components, jigs and fixtures

-Drive quality standards, ensure compliance of all products through stringent quality checks and correct use of SOPS

The qualifications required for this role:-

-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other suitable qualification

-3D CAD/CAM design and manufacturing experience required
