Maintenance Engineering Manager Location: Manchester Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 plus excellent benefits A local, plastic injection manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Manager to join their team. Maintenance Engineering Manager – Job Role: To integrate equipment design, product formulations and procedures to improve the efficiency of operations. To lead the Engineering team to design and build equipment or accessories to improve production capabilities or operator use. To develop, design and install new manufacturing processes, control systems and innovative processing techniques. To manage and develop a small team of engineers. Maintenance Engineering Manager – key tasks Maintain plant & equipment to deliver budgeted required availability of plant and equipment. To ensure plant and equipment are safe to operate and fit for purpose, machines are maintained for safe operation and standard condition that maximise machine availability and performance. Develop Maintenance Systems to IncludeCritical Spares List Preventative Maintenance Processes Predictive Maintenance Processes Break Down Maintenance Processes Plant and equipment is operated within regulatory controls, both local authority (UK legislation) and corporate led requirements. Support Quality Systems Manager and H & S Manager in Engineering Controls management Train Team members to meet site requirements Maintain Maintenance training matrices Maintenance Engineering Manager – Person requirements: The ideal candidate must come from the Manufacturing Industry as a Maintenance Engineering Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience: Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as C&G, HNC, HND or BEng Experience of managing a maintenance engineering team Experience of managing a PPM System You will ideally have plastic moulding or extrusion experience Ideally experience with PLC’s would be advantageous For more information please call Paul Gorton on 0161 976 3540.
