Purpose of the role – Maintenance Supervisor

Specific roles for the Maintenance Supervisor are set out below but these are not limited to the following;

Taking the lead with the maintenance of machines and equipment, including decision making and relevant actions.

Maintain a high standard of record keeping. Make sure that all the relevant paper work is completed and up to date. This includes Machine Service schedules and Maintenance job sheets. Other paper work may also be included.

Keep the Manager up to date with any maintenance related issues.

Ensure that the stock levels for tooling and consumables are maintained.

Assist the Manager with the ordering of parts through the SAP system.

Take responsibility of the Glass and brittle objects and GMP audits; Delegate out corrective actions.

Work with the Manager to improve the department for efficiency and productivity by implementing new methods and procedures.

Deputise for the Manager when he is away from the office, including attending the morning and other tool room related meetings.

Take active involvement with the OE360 charter and Leadership for growth surveys.

Assist other departments with technical assistance when called upon.

Role and Responsibilities – Maintenance Supervisor

Maintain machines, including preventive maintenance, in preparation for Production to meet the requirements of the Production Plan. Including machine strip down and diagnosis for repair and improvements.

Assist all Production personnel in diagnosing of tooling/production issues.

Assist in ensuring adequate stock levels for machine and consumables are maintained.

Demonstrate ability to advise on the repair and modification of machines and assist in implementing solutions.

Highlight to management when routine servicing/repairs are outside of the scope of the Company.

Routinely manage your workload using the Quality Management System (Q-Pulse) and ensure actions are completed within the required timescales.

Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised.

Demonstrate ability to make decisions based on data.

Use internal software as appropriate to facilitate this role including Q-Pulse, Mattec, Microsoft. This list is non-exhaustive.

Maintain a high standard of record keeping in accordance with the Company Management Systems.

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times including 5S

Work with your departmental manager and team members to identify, implement and drive actions for continuous improvement.

Fabrication of fixtures and spare parts for assembly machines.

Ensure effective and efficient maintenance of tooling to ensure continuation of Production, consistent with the Company’s goals and needs.

Experience and Qualifications – Maintenance Supervisor

Minimum of 5 years in a similar role

Electrical Engineering Degree or HNC/HND
