Production Manager

Location: Crawley

Salary: £30k-£40k

My client is a large manufacturer and are looking for a Production Manager to join their team. The Production Manager will be the main point of contact in relation to all manufacturing activities, will organise the work force, manage the e?ciency of the tools and equipment, strive to meet and beat the plan by motivating, directing, mentoring, and coaching the production teams.

Production Manager – Job Role:

• To deliver the production plan daily/weekly/monthly in line with budget and quality measures. Simple Company works with very short lead times, constantly brings new products to market, requiring, ?exibility, creativity (within the bounds of procedures and process)
• To deliver continuously improving KPI's as de?ned by the Operations Manager
• To Lead the production teams in a respectful but driven manner to achieve business goals and objectives whilst strictly observing processes and procedures
• To work with peers to improve the overall performance of the business in terms of cost, pro?tability, Time to Market, e?ciency
• Ensure sta?ng numbers meet the budget, are multi skilled and able to deliver the plan. The production team is primarily zero hours contractors working under the supervision of hourly paid Team Leaders
• Work with Team Leaders to deliver the above and more
• Ensure all materials and equipment are available as and when required
• Lead the team to build quality into the process ensuring every product is right ?rst time to the customers’ requirements

Production Manager – Person Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years production supervision or management in a fast-moving assembly environment
• Production Engineering background with recent 1st line supervisory experience
• 2 years hands on experience in manufacturing/operations/production or similar appropriate ?eld - preferably light assembly - bottling and ?lling - mixing and packaging
• Experience in delivering LEAN methodologies in a manufacturing company Experience of working within an ERP/MRP environment - NetSuite preferred #

• Ready to listen up and down the organisation, able to challenge the status quo there-bye continuously improving the manufacturing and quality of production
