Salary: £40k- £45k

About the Company:

A metal manufacturing company in Willenhall are now looking for a Quality Manager to join their team.

Head of Quality- Key Tasks/Duties

• Maintaining IMDS database
• Conflict materials reporting
• Customer portal maintenance
• KPI’s monthly
• Entering PPAP’s on customer portals
• Management representative and customer representative for external auditors
• Management review
• Internal technical and quality liaison
• Completion of REACH declarations for customers
• Technical reviews of customer projects
• Managing customer concerns, both directly and through various portals
• Liaison with customers and suppliers on quality and technical issues
• Maintaining documented quality system
• Ensuring customer specific requirements are adequately addressed within the documented system
• Oversight of internal quality function

Head of Quality- Essential skills

The ideal candidate MUST come form the manufacturing industry as a Quality Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
• Member of CQI or ASQ (Not essential)
• Must have experience working in and maintaining IATF 16949 or TS16949
• You will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Quality Engineers so experience of managing small teams is essential
• You will have a hands-on approach with experience of APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC’s & NCR’s
• Ideally come from one of the following engineering backgrounds: Press works, Press Metals, Castings, Metal Fabrications, or Metal extrusion

• Maintaining IMDS database (The International Material Data System (IMDS) isthe automobile industry's material data system. All materials used for manufacturing automobiles are collected, maintained, analyzed, and archived into IMDS)

• Management representative and customer representative for external auditors
• Management review
