Job: Software Engineer

Salary: Circa £42,000

Location: Coventry

I am looking for an experienced Software Engineer, with a high level of programming skills using an object orientated programming language such as VB6, VB.NET or C#NET, they should also have experience with C++, SQL.

Job Description, Software Engineer:

I am looking for a Software Engineer to work on custom in-house applications, update for latest operating systems and continuous improvement. You must have previous experience of modular code design, C#, C++, VB6, SQL. I am looking for someone with experience in design and interfacing to SQL databases. You will be involved in developing & testing new programs for our CNC machines. You will be involved in software integration into the CNC control system, NET, TCPIP, OPC, (Windows) Writing initial software function design specification. You will have to write software operational documentation. You will be involved in customer support for our custom applications and general IT support for the business.

What we require, Software Engineer:

A successful candidate must be proficient in the use of Embedded Programming Languages with at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows environments, Desktop and Server. Methodical and pro-active approach to improvement methods. Strong team player and able to work on own initiative. Able to multitask and prioritise own workload. Adhere to Company Health and Safety policies. Available for global business travel if required.
